Reiki means "universal life energy" and clients find a session helps them in many ways. The practitioner acts as a conduit for energy, and the client receives. I usually start my sessions with a short Conscious Care exercise, using muscle testing to help my client set an intention for their healing.
Reiki is useful for: stress management,chronic pain or illness,relief from insomnia,while recovering from surgery or chemotherapy and for just about any physical or emotional complaint!
Reiki Healing can be used by anyone, of any age. Sessions for children are shorter than the usual one hour.
Reiki is not massage. The client lies fully clothed on a massage table, and the practitioner places their hands lightly at various locations along the body. Clients usually report feeling slight heat from the practitioners hands, as well as feeling very relaxed.
